WATERVILLE, MAINE, March 2024 — Thomas College is proud to announce that Brian J. King has joined its Board of Trustees. King is a senior executive with Bank of America and the President of Bank America Maine.    

King returns to his alma mater to serve on the Board of Trustees. He graduated in 1993.

“We are thrilled to have Brian join our talented and innovative Board of Trustees,” said President Laurie G. Lachance. “Brian has years of experience in business and is passionate about providing a bright future for students here in Maine. I am excited for him to share his knowledge and experience with us.”

“It is an honor for me to join the Thomas College board of trustees,” said King. “President Lachance, along with my fellow trustees, have done an exceptional job leading the school while staying true to the mission of preparing students for success in their personal and professional lives and for leadership and service in their communities.  My parents met each other at Thomas College back in 1959 and to this day, some of my closest friendships originated during my years at Thomas College. This is an opportunity to help lead Thomas College and ensure future students have the same opportunities I had.”

King is a product executive in the Consumer and Small Business product division and responsible for Bank of America’s checking account products and portfolio.  He has been with Bank of America for 26 years. King also serves as the President of Bank of America in Maine. In this role, King is responsible for connecting clients, teammates, and communities to the full power of the franchise, driving integration across the eight lines of business. He also leads the effort to deploy Bank of America’s resources to help advance economic mobility and build strong communities. 

King graduated from Thomas College where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Economics. King’s community involvement includes serving on the Junior Achievement of Maine Board of Directors, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce board, and the board of directors at Educate Maine.

King resides in Sidney with his wife, Sarah, and they are the proud parents of Katy and Chris.
